Urethane Grade
Normal Butyl Acetate is a clear, colorless liquid ester with a characteristic pleasant "fruity" odor (resembling bananas). It is the most important medium-boiling solvent in the paint industry. Ruvon supplies Urethane Grade NBA, which has ultra-low moisture content, making it safe for use in Polyurethane (PU) hardeners and coatings.
Butyl Acetate is formed by the esterification of Butanol and Acetic Acid. It is highly valued for its excellent solvency for Nitrocellulose, Polymers, Resins, and Oils. It creates a smooth finish in lacquers, preventing blushing (whitening due to moisture).
High purity Urethane Grade suitable for PU coatings.

In the paint industry, Butyl Acetate is the "Reference Point". Its Relative Evaporation Rate (RER) is set at exactly 1.0.
The primary solvent for car basecoats and clearcoats. Ensures high gloss and smooth finish.
Used in Nitrocellulose (NC) lacquers and PU wood sealers for furniture.
The main ingredient in nail polish and nail polish removers (better smell than acetone).
Extraction solvent for processing antibiotics like Penicillin.
Used in leather dressings and finishes to dissolve coatings without damaging the hide.
Used in synthetic fruit flavorings (banana, pear, pineapple) for candies and ice cream.
Standard industrial packing. Brand new barrels available.
Bulk supply (20 MT) for large paint factories. Cost-effective.
Butyl Acetate is a Class 3 Flammable Liquid (Flash Point 22°C).
