Maleic Anhydride is a versatile organic intermediate. It is the acid anhydride of maleic acid. It is the primary raw material for Unsaturated Polyester Resins (UPR) and 1,4-Butanediol (BDO).
Maleic Anhydride is chemically extremely reactive. It contains two functional groups: the double bond and the anhydride group. This makes it ideal for polymerization and copolymerization reactions.
