A colorless, flammable liquid with a distinctive detergent-like odor. It is a cycloalkane primarily used as a non-polar solvent and as a raw material for the industrial production of Adipic Acid and Caprolactam, the precursors to Nylon.
Cyclohexane is a cycloalkane with the molecular formula C₆H₁₂. It is produced by the hydrogenation of benzene. Due to its unique chemical properties, it is used as a non-polar solvent for the chemical industry and also as a raw material for the industrial production of adipic acid and caprolactam, both of which are intermediates used in the production of nylon.
Ruvon International supplies high-purity (99.9%) Cyclohexane sourced from leading petrochemical complexes. Our material has extremely low benzene and sulphur content, making it ideal for sensitive catalytic processes.

Cyclohexane is the starting point for the polyamide industry. Approximately 90% of global cyclohexane production is consumed in the manufacture of Nylon 6 and Nylon 6,6. It undergoes oxidation to produce Cyclohexanone and Cyclohexanol (KA Oil), which are then further processed into Caprolactam (for Nylon 6) and Adipic Acid (for Nylon 6,6). Ruvon's high-purity grade ensures maximum yield in these catalytic oxidation processes.
Precursor for Adipic Acid and Caprolactam (Nylon 6 & 6,6).
Non-polar solvent for resins, fats, waxes, and rubber.
Used in neoprene based contact adhesives.
Solvent for cellulose ethers and esters.
Used for extracting essential oils.
Standard for calibration and HPLC solvent.
Standard steel drums for safe transport.
Bulk supply (18MT - 22MT) for large consumers.
Cyclohexane is highly flammable and vapors may form explosive mixtures with air.
