Polymer Grade
Styrene Monomer is a clear, colorless, oily liquid with a sweet, aromatic odor. It is the precursor to Polystyrene (PS), Expanded Polystyrene (EPS/Thermocol), and various synthetic rubbers. Ruvon supplies high-purity Polymer Grade Styrene, stabilized with TBC to prevent premature polymerization during transport.
Styrene is an aromatic monomer. It contains a vinyl group (-CH=CH2) attached to a benzene ring. This vinyl group makes it extremely reactive and eager to form long chains (polymers). It is used to manufacture plastics that are lightweight, clear, and easy to mold.
Conforms to ASTM D-2827 Standard.

Styrene is "restless." Its double bond wants to break and link up with other styrene molecules to turn into a solid plastic rock.
Used to make GPPS (Clear cups, cases) and HIPS (Toys, fridge liners).
Expanded Polystyrene for packaging, insulation, and protective helmets.
Styrene-Butadiene Rubber used in car tires, shoe soles, and conveyor belts.
Reactive diluent in Unsaturated Polyester Resins for fiberglass boats and tanks.
Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene. Tough plastic for computer cases, luggage, and Lego bricks.
Used in emulsion paints, paper coatings, and textile binders.
Standard packing. Must be stored in cool, covered warehouses.
Bulk supply (18-20 MT) for large polymer plants.
Styrene vapor is heavier than air and flammable (Flash Point 31°C).
Polymer Grade (99.6%). Stabilized with TBC. Fresh Stock.
